Keyword Planner is free, yet it might be tricky to gain access to it. First, you need to have a Google account. Then, go to the
Keyword Planner. Google will take you right away to start a new advertising campaign — no rush here. You hit the small link "Experienced with Google Ads?" below instead of processing with the ads. On the next screen, find another small link "Create an account without a campaign" and follow the instructions. Done! You have created a Google Ads account without launching an ad campaign. To access Keyword Planner, simply select it in the drop-down list under Tools & Settings.
